AZTEC INVITE: #20 Princeton 9, Pacific 4

March 14, 2008

SAN DIEGO - Princeton jumped out to an early 4-1 lead and never looked back en route to a 9-4 victory over Pacific. Claire Jacobson led Princeton with three goals, while Phoebe Champion chipped in two. Dara Tawarahara was Pacific's leading scorer with a pair of tallies.

Princeton held a slight 2-1 advantage at the end of a tightly played first quarter before back-to-back goals from Kara Murphy and Helen Meigs gave the Tigers a 4-1 lead.

Trailing by four in the final period, Pacific got a quick goal from Virginia McConnell, but Princeton shot down any notion of a comeback, scoring the final two goals of the game for the win.
