Complete Release and Season Statistics SDSU TO OPEN CONFERENCE PLAY AT NEVADA
San Diego State will open its 2012 Mountain West season with a match at conference newcomer Nevada in its lone contest of the week. The Aztecs and Wolf Pack will square off on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 7:00 pm. at the Virginia Street Gym in Reno, Nev.

San Diego State has the lone win in the series between the two teams. The Aztecs defeated the Wolf Pack in three sets during the 2011 Aztec Invitational in San Diego.
Junior outside hitter Raegan Shelton was named to the all-tournament team at last weekend's Fullerton Classic. Shelton average 2.88 kills while hitting at a .272 clip. She also had 1.69 digs per set and 0.56 blocks per set to earn the honor. Her 15 kills against Oregon State was her season high and she also set a career best with 12digs. She recorded her first double-double of the season in that contest against the Beavers.
SMASH BY NASH
Junior outside hitter Summer Nash led the Aztecs in kills during last week's Fullerton Classic with a mark if 2.94 per set. She also averaged 1.25 digs and 0.50 blocks per set over the four matches at that tourney. She leads the team in kills on the season with a mark of 3.02 per set. Nash had a career-high 21 kills in the match against ninth-ranked Hawai'i on Sept. 7). Her 22 points in that contest also marked her personal best as an Aztec.
HARRIS ON THE BLOCK
Emily Harris has emerged as the team's leading blocker averaging1.30 per set. She notched nine block assists in the victory over Cal on Sept 1, one shy of her career high. She also recorded 10 kills in that match and hit .368.
AMONG THE MW LEADERS
After the first three weekends of the season, several Aztecs ranks among the top 10 in various categories in the Mountain West statistics.
** Andrea Hannasch is seventh in hitting percentage (.325) and seventh in blocks (1.09/set).
** Emily Harris is third in hitting percentage (.379) and fourth in blocks (1.30/set).
** Johnna Fouch is sixth is assists (6.10/set).
** Kristi Jackels is eighth in digs (3.54/set).
** Summer Nash ranks ninth in kills at 3.02/set.
** In addition, as a team San Diego State ranks first in the Mountain West in hitting percentage (.257), second kills (13.78/set) and third in assists (12.61/set).
MOVING UP THE CHARTS
Three current Aztecs moved into the top 10 on the SDSU career lists in various categories last season and should move up as the 2012 season progresses.
** Andrea Hannasch's three-year total of 401 block assists moves her into the number-four spot on the SDSU all-time list. The number-three position on the all-time Aztec list. The second spot is held by Martina Vitkova-Engels (1994-97) with 420 block assists.
** Kristi Jackels has compiled 1,528 digs during her time as an Aztec to rank third in that category. Jackie Mendez (1985-88) ranks second with 1,678 career digs.
** Setter Johnna Fouch's two-year mark if 2,709 assists place her six. The fifth spot is held by Liane Sato (1985-86) with 2,773 assists.
Defensive specialist Kyla Oropeza turned in a career-high 11 digs in the win over Cal State Fullerton on Sept. 14. She averaged 1.63 digs per set during the Fullerton Classic ... Freshman Kaja Sandberg made her Aztec debut in the match vs. Brown on Sept. 15, averaging 1.00 kill and 1.00 block per set in the three-set contest ... Michelle Waber turned in a career-best seven blocks in the win over Cal State Fullerton on Sept. 14 ... Andrea Hannasch had a career-high three service aces vs. Oregon State on Sept. 15 ... Christie Ring's nine dings in the won over Brown was her best as an Aztec ... Freshman setter Tanna Aljoe saw her most significant action of the season during the final three matches at the Fullerton Classic (Sept. 14-15). Over 10 sets she averaged 5.4 assists and 1.50 digs per set.
