During her time at Desert Ridge HS, Sandberg set school records for blocks in a career (201), season (107) and match (9) in her two years as a varsity athlete. She was named to a pair of all-tournament teams in 2011 and also played club volleyball for the Arizona Storm 18 Thunder during the 2011-12 season
""We're excited to add Kaja to our volleyball team," commented Collins-Parker. "She is a naturally aggressive blocker and brings additional height to our roster. Kaja will help raise the level of competitiveness in our gym and I'm thrilled to work with her and excited to see how she develops."
Sandberg will join a trio of other newcomers to the SDSU program this fall including transfer Michelle Waber (OH, University of Hawai'i) along with freshman recruits Ellen Novotny (OH, Houston HS, Germantown, Tenn.) and Tanna Aljoe (S, Grapevine, Grapevine Texas).
