Dyer Eliminated at USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships
June 24, 2007 INDIANAPOLIS - Tonette Dyer, a former San Diego State track and field All-American, fell just short of qualifying for the finals of the 200-meter dash at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at the IU Michael A. Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium on a wet Sunday afternoon. Dyer, who owns the SDSU record in the event, finished in fifth place in Heat 1 with a time of 23.03 seconds. With the top four athletes in both heats set to advance to the finals, Dyer was a mere .10 seconds from securing a spot in the championship round as Shareese Woods finished just ahead of her in fourth place clocking in at 22.93.
