Earned three letters at Junipero Serra High School ... captured the California state title in the 400 meters in 2012, anchored the 4x400-meter relay to another title and was on the winning 4x100-meter relay team ... her outstanding effort helped lead the Cavaliers to their first-ever state championship ... ran a time of 53.98 in the 400, the fastest by a high school athlete in California and the 19th-fastest in the country ... the 53.98 would rank 10th on the Aztecs' all-time list ... also owns a best time of 2:11.97 in the 800 ... finished 2012 with 10 wins (prelims and finals) ... ran track under former Aztec legend Lori Smith-Thompson ... also played basketball at Serra.
