SDSU Returns Home After Two Match Road Trip; Hosts Long Beach State, UC Davis and Loyola Marymount This Week
* No. 67 San Diego State (3-2) plays host to three schools this week. As part of a rescheduled match from Jan. 28, the Aztecs and Long Beach State (2-1) will face each other on Thursday at 2 p.m. Then on Saturday, SDSU will play a doubleheader as UC Davis (1-3) and Loyola Marymount (0-4) come to town. The morning match, slated for a 9 a.m. start, will feature the Aggies, while the Lions match will begin at 2 p.m.
After the three-match homestand, the Aztecs will travel north to Los Angeles to face seventh-ranked Southern California and then play at UC Irvine three days later.
Series History vs. Long Beach State
* In 26 all-time meetings with Long Beach State, San Diego State has never lost to its former Big West Conference mate. Last year, the Aztecs defeated the 49ers, 5-2, in the season opener.
Series History vs. UC Davis
* Saturday's match with the Aggies will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
Series History vs. Loyola Marymount
* The Lions and Aztecs have faced each other a total of 13 times with SDSU tasting victory on 12 of those occasions. Last year, the first meeting between the two teams was rained out and rescheduled. It was on that day Loyola Marymount defeated San Diego State for the first time, 4-3.
