LAST TIME OUT
The Aztecs picked up a trio of dual meet wins when it hosted TCU, Idaho, UC San Diego and University of San Diego at the Aztec Aquaplex on Nov. 5. SDSU defeated TCU, Idaho and UC San Diego, but did not swim against USD as the schools will meet later in the season. With those three victories, San Diego State improved to 5-1 on the season and 3-1 in the Mountain West Conference. The Aztecs turned in the top times in 11 of the 14 swimming events during the meet.
During that five-team meet on Nov. 5, three SDSU school records were set. Senior Petra Radovic set the Aztec marks in the 500 free (4:55.66) and 1000 freestyle (10:10.17) while freshman Meghan Zimmer established a new SDSU record in the 200 freestyle (1:50.49). The former record in the 500 free had stood since the 1981-82 season when Kim Palmer swam a 4:56.37.
MWC SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Senior Petra Radovic was named the Mountain West Conference Swimmer of the Week on Nov. 10 for her performance during the meet held at SDSU on Nov. 6. Radovic, who hails from Zagreb, Croatia, set the two school records and also swam the third leg of the Aztecs' 400-yard free relay team that won with a time of 3:30.36. That relay time ranks as the fourth best time in program history.

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME
After a 3-0 start in home dual-meets this fall, SDSU's record at the Aztec Aquaplex stands at 12-3 since the facility opened in the spring of 2008. The Aztecs were 3-0 during the season in which the facility opened (2007-08) and 6-3 last year. All three losses at the Aquaplex have come in conference action. This season San Diego State has seven home dual meets remaining on its schedule including one league contest.
SDSU will have a week off from competition as it prepares to host a dual meet against Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 1:00 p.m. (PT) at the Aztec Aquaplex.
