SDSU Swimmers and Divers to Travel the Aloha State On Saturday
The San Diego State swimming and diving team heads to Hawaii for a four-team meet at 11 a.m. HT Saturday. The Aztecs and host Rainbow Wahine will be joined by Connecticut and Drury (Mo.) University.

A Glance At This Weekend's Opponents
SDSU will be in for some tough competition this weekend when it heads to the nation's 50th state. The host Wahine have only had one dual-meet, a 136-106 win over Arizona State on Oct. 21. Since then, however, Hawai'i has competed in a host of quality invitationals including the Big West Shootout, Indiana Diving Invitational and the Texas Invitational (sixth of 14 teams).

Connecticut is off to a 2-2 start with wins over Fordham (214-87) on Oct. 21 and Seton Hall (185-110) on Nov. 12. However, the Huskies' two losses have been by a combined 14 points (120.5-122.5 to Villanova and 143-155 against Rutgers). Connecticut also have been impressive in invitationals as evident by its first-place finish of nine teams at the Terrapin Cup in College Park, Md., from Nov. 17-19. The Huskies also took seventh at the U.S. Open in Auburn, Ala. (Dec. 1-3).

Drury comes into the quad-meet as the No. 1 ranked team in Division II. The Panthers were runner-up at last years NCAA championship meet and have won the meet on four occasions. Drury, located in Springfield, Mo., has faced some stiff competition and, for the most part, has done well. The Panthers won the seven-team Arkansas-Little Rock Invitational on Dec. 3 and defeated six other teams in the process. Drury also lost a close meet to Arkansas (145-158) on Oct. 22.

It's All About Frith
Junior Kimberlee Frith had a meet to remember on the weekend of Dec. 17-19 in Las Vegas, Nev. Frith broke a 24-year old school record in the 200 free with a time of 1:51.48. The following day, Frith raced to the fourth-fastest time in SDSU history in the 100 free, clocking a time of 52.22 seconds. The time is only 0.12 seconds away from Heather DeFelice's record set during the 2001-02 season. She also set a team-best time in the 500 free (5:02.17) and still has the fastest time in the 50 free (24.68).

Frith currently leads the MWC in the 200 free, 0.09 seconds ahead of Utah's Alison McInturff. She is also among the top 10 in the conference in the 500 free (fifth) and the 100 free (sixth).
