STOCKTON, Calif. - The San Diego State women's swim team earned 10 top-five finishes over the weekend at the Pacific Collegiate Invitational held at Chris Kjedsen Pool.

SDSU was paced by freshman Megan Storey who finished in third-place in the 500 freestyle, swimming the event in 5 minutes, 00.99 seconds. Storey also finished second (17:02.77) in the 1,650 free event .

The Aztecs also got a strong showing from junior Heather DeFelice who finished fourth (1:06.57) in the 100 breaststroke. DeFelice also finished third in the 200 breast finished with a time of 2:25.46.

Junior Meghan Casillian finished fifth (59.83) in the 100 backstroke and fourth (2:09.41) in the 200 back.

Junior Tara Johnson finished fifth in both the 100 and 200 butterfly with times of 58.95 and 2:10.10 respectively.

The Aztecs finished fifth out of the five team Division I field scoring 508 points. Host school Pacific took the meet with 910 points with Washington State (772.5), Nevada (707) and Fresno State (656.5) finishing ahead of SDSU.

The team returns to action Nov. 4 when they travel to Flagstaff, Ariz. to compete against Northern Arizona at 1 p.m.
