OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Three school records were set in the third day of competition at the Mountain West Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. The event is being held at the Oklahoma City Community College Aquatics Center.

Highlighting the trio of program-best marks was senior Meghan Casillan's lead-off split time in the 400-yard medley relay. Her backstroke time of 56.42 helped her surpass sophomore Aletta Haff's mark of 56.44 Haff set earlier in the day in the prelims of the 100 back. Both Casillan and Haff's times are NCAA provisional qualifiers.

Haff went on to finish in sixth-place (57.05) in the finals of the 100 back. Casillan swam a fourth-place time of 56.53 in the 100 back finals.

Also moving into the Aztec record books were senior Heather DeFelice, who bested the record of 1:04.43 she owned in the 100 breaststroke with a fourth-place finish of 1:04.05 in Friday's final. Junior Erin Kilpatrick also bested the school record of 4:28.11 she set in the 400 individual medley during the 1999-2000 season, with a 4:26.63 third-place clocking.

Kilpatrick is the only Aztec to medal thus far at this year's league meet.

Senior Tara Johnson set a season best in the 100 butterfly (57.01), before teaming with Casillan, DeFelice and Kilpatrick to set a season-best and fifth-place finish in the 400 medley relay (3:50.84).

After three days of competition, SDSU sits in seventh place in team scoring with 246 points. Brigham Young is in first with 419 points, followed by UNLV (389) and Colorado State (380).

The league championships conclude on Saturday with prelims at 11 a.m. CT and finals at 6 p.m. CT.
