2011 Fall Schedule in PDF Format The nine-game slate is highlighted by a Nov. 4 contest against the National Pro Fastpitch All-Stars. Team NPF is comprised of athletes from the four NPF teams - Akron Racers, Chicago Bandits, Tennessee Diamonds and USSSA Florida Pride - and includes an accomplished list of competitors. Last year, the NPF team made 18 stops on college campuses across the country, including a Nov. 12 stop in San Diego for a game against the Aztecs. Tickets for the Nov. 4 NPF game are $5 and are available by calling the Aztec softball office at (619) 594-2345. Admission to the rest of the team's fall games are free. SDSU kicks off its fall schedule on Friday, Oct. 21, when it plays host to Vanguard at 4 p.m. PT. The following day, San Diego State meets Santa Ana CC for a 1 p.m. PT showdown. The Aztecs then welcome the NPF All-Stars on Nov. 4 (6 p.m. PT), before hosting Palomar CC and San Diego (USD) on Nov. 5. SDSU will play Palomar CC at 11 a.m. PT and the Toreros at 4 p.m. PT. Palomar and San Diego will meet in the middle game (1:30 p.m. PT). San Diego State has another busy weekend the on Nov. 11-12, hosting Cypress on the 11th (1 p.m. PT) and a four-team tournament on the 12th. UC San Diego and the Aztecs kick things off at 11 a.m. PT, followed by UCSD and San Diego at 1:30 p.m. PT, Cal State San Marcos and USD at 4 p.m. PT and CSUSM and SDSU at 6:30 p.m. PT. San Diego State ends its fall season on Nov. 19 with the annual Alumni Game. First pitch is scheduled for noon PT. |
