SDSU Softball Looks to Build Off of Recent Sweep; Hosts Second-Place UNLV in Weekend Series
Fresh off a sweep of Colorado State, the San Diego State softball team looks to carry its momentum into this weekend when it takes on second-place UNLV in a pair of critical home games.
The Aztecs (29-21, 5-9 MWC) will meet the Rebels (34-24, 9-5 MWC) at 6 p.m. Saturday and again at 1 p.m. Sunday at the SDSU Softball Stadium. Saturday's game will be televised live nationally on CSTV (Channel 319 Cox Digital Cable). As always, both Aztec games can be followed via gametracker on the Internet at www.goaztecs.com.
Just two weekends ago, San Diego State split its series against UNLV in Las Vegas. The Aztecs blanked the Rebels, 5-0, in the first game but fell 3-1 the following day. SDSU currently sits in fifth place in the conference standings.
