Aztec Softball to Hold Advanced Skills Showcase
May 1, 2007 SAN DIEGO - May 1, 2007 SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State softball team will hold an advanced showcase camp from June 20-21, head coach Kathy Van Wyk announced on Tuesday. The clinic is available for advanced athletes entering grades 10-12 and is limited to 30 athletes. San Diego State University is an elite softball program combining innovation, philosophy, discipline, and determination on its drive for excellence. We would like to invite you to participate in a unique opportunity this summer. We are hosting some of the most gifted high school age student-athletes on campus for our Advanced Skills Showcases. During these showcases, you will participate and learn all phases of the game: advanced offensive and defensive techniques, pitching and catching, base running, strength and conditioning. You will also have the opportunity to play in competitive games to showcase your skills. The goal of these camps is to prepare you for an elite level of competition, allow you the opportunity to get to know our coaches' and program philosophy, and to provide you the opportunity to surround yourself with other athletes who have your same goals.
