SDSU Softball to Play Seven Games Over the Week, Including Six in the Second San Diego Classic

SDSU Softball to Play Seven Games Over the Week, Including Six in the Second San Diego Classic SDSU, which is 6-4 at SDSU Softball Stadium this year, will kick off its busy week Wednesday with a solo game against South Dakota State, beginning at 6 p.m. San Diego State will then begin its play in the San Diego Classic II with a 7 p.m. contest against Miami (OH) on Thursday, before playing two on Friday (Oklahoma State - 4:30 p.m. and Northern Colorado - 7 p.m.) and another doubleheader on Saturday (New Mexico State - 2 p.m. and Iowa State - 4:30 p.m.). The Aztecs conclude their play in the Classic on Sunday with one game versus Cal State Northridge at 2 p.m. Last weekend, SDSU went 3-2 at the Stanford Classic, including a 4-0 setback to No. 5/6 and host Cardinal. Eight of San Diego State's 11 losses this season have come against nationally ranked opponents and five have been to teams who are currently ranked in the top five. The Aztecs are 16-6 all-time against their opponents this week except Cal State Northridge, which owns an impressive 33-12-1 mark against SDSU.
