Hurst Named MW Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Oct. 22, 2012
SAN DIEGO - San Diego State defender Tiffany Hurst has been named the Mountain West Women's Soccer Co-Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon. This marks the redshirt senior's second career award and it is the ninth week an Aztec has been honored by the conference this year. The Santa Rosa, Calif., native played a role in three of No. 6/13/7 San Diego State's six goals as the Aztecs clinched the 2012 Mountain West regular-season crown with victories over Wyoming and Air Force this past weekend. With SDSU trailing, 1-0, against Wyoming, Hurst brought the Aztecs even with a goal in the 30th minute en route to a 3-1 victory on Friday. She then followed that performance with assists on a pair of scores from sophomore Hannah Keane in Sunday's 3-0 shutout of Air Force. Hurst ended the weekend with four points and three shots, including one on goal. The Aztecs (16-1-1, 6-0 Mountain West) wrap up MW play on Friday as they welcome New Mexico for Senior Day. The conference matchup is scheduled for a 7 p.m. PT start at SDSU Sports Deck. Mountain West Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week Mountain West Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week |
