SAN DIEGO - San Diego State forward Megan Jurado has been named the Mountain West Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon. This marks the senior's third award this season and it is the eighth week an Aztec has been honored by the conference this year. The San Jose, Calif., native was instrumental in No. 7/13/8 San Diego extending its road winning streak to five games after she tallied game-winning goals against UNLV and Fresno State this past weekend. On Friday, Jurado tallied an assist on junior Carli Johnson's goal and then scored the game-winner at the 54:13 mark in a 2-1 win over UNLV. On Sunday, she scored her first goal in the 54th minute and then tallied her seventh game-winner of the season at the 75:20 mark. Jurado also added an assist on senior Sarah Halverson's third goal of 2012 as the Aztecs earned a 3-1 victory at Fresno State. SDSU (14-1-1, 4-0 in MW play) returns to action on Friday as it plays host to Wyoming. The conference showdown is scheduled for a 7 p.m. PT start at SDSU Sports Deck.
