Hannah Keane Named MW Offensive Player of the Week
Oct. 1, 2012
SAN DIEGO - San Diego State forward Hannah Keane has been named the Mountain West Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon. This marks the sophomore's first career award and it is the sixth week an Aztec has been honored by the conference in 2012.
The Sacramento, Calif., native was key to No. 12/17/13 San Diego State opening Mountain West play with a 3-0 win over Nevada last Friday at the SDSU Sports Deck.
Keane recorded one goal and assisted on another as the Aztecs picked up their 10th win of the season and first in conference action. She helped put SDSU on the board with her team-leading fifth assist of 2012 as teammate Tiffany Hurst opened the scoring at the 4:34 mark. Keane then pushed the lead to 2-0 with her own goal in the 28th minute.
San Diego State returns to action on Friday when it continues Mountain West play with a road contest at Boise State. The conference matchup is scheduled for a 4 p.m. MT start.
