Lacrosse to Face Temple on Saturday

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State Lacrosse team completes its five-game homestand on Saturday afternoon against Temple. The game is scheduled to begin at noon PT at Aztec Lacrosse Field. The Aztecs (4-2, 1-0 MPSF) are coming off a victory over Marquette on Thursday night, 19-5, and have now won two-straight games and four of their last five. Following Saturday's game, SDSU will play four of its next five games on the road, beginning on March 22 against MPSF foe Oregon. Sophomore Michaela Jarvis leads the Aztecs in points with 25, and also has a team-high 14 assists this season. Sophomore Bailey Ewing's 19 goals is the most on the team, while junior Christina Ricciardulli leads SDSU with six caused turnovers and 13 draw controls. The Aztecs have out-scored their opponents 95-42 this season, including 40-6 in their past two victories, and have taken twice as many shots on goal (185-99). SDSU also has an 87-59 edge in draw controls over its opponents, and has just 60 turnovers compared to 84 by its opposition. |
