SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State Lacrosse team returns to action on Thursday night, as the Aztecs play host to Marquette beginning at 7 p.m. PT at Aztec Lacrosse Field.

SDSU (3-2, 1-0 MPSF) has won two of three games so far on its current five-game homestand, defeating Saint Mary's, 19-6, on Feb. 22, losing a heartbreaker on March 8 to La Salle, 14-13, and rolling through LIU Brooklyn on Sunday, 21-1. Sophomore Michaela Jarvis leads the Aztecs with 21 points, as her 13 assists are by far the most on the team and tied for 15th most in the nation.

Sophomore Bailey Ewing has a team-high 16 goals, is second with 20 points and is 19th in the nation with 3.2 goals per game, while Meris Walsh is third on the team in points with nine goals. Junior Christina Ricciardulli leads the team with six caused turnovers, sophomore Madison Wallace is tops with nine groundballs and freshman Felice Artuso has a team-high nine draw controls.

Through five games this season, the Aztecs are tied for eighth in the nation in goals per game (15.2) and are ninth in scoring defense per game (7.4). The only other teams in the top-10 of each category are No. 20 Navy, No. 18 Stony Brook and St. Bonaventure. SDSU's 21 goals against LIU Brooklyn on Sunday are tied for 15th most in a single game this season.

Marquette is 2-3 and is coming off a loss at Saint Mary's, 16-7, on Sunday. Freshman Claire Costanza leads the Golden Eagles in total points (15) and assists (10), while freshman Kenzie Brown has a team-high 11 goals.
