Women's Golf 11th Through 36 Holes at Edean Ihlanfeldt Invite

SAMMAMISH, Wash. - The San Diego State women's golf team moved up one spot in the standings to 11th place following its second-round 24-over 312 Tuesday at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in Sammamish, Wash. The Aztecs' 36-hole total of 58-over 634 is two strokes more than 10th place Long Beach State and eight more than No. 40 Gonzaga, who sits in ninth place at the par-72, 6,054-yard Sahalee Country Club. Freshman Emma Henrikson continues to be SDSU's top golfer, making a huge jump on the leaderboard, improving to a five-way tie for 14th place after finishing tied for 30th on Monday. Henrikson recorded three birdies on the day to finish her second round with a score of 1-over 73. Senior Christine Wong also moved up in the standings on Tuesday, after firing off 5-over 77 to sit in a five-way tie for 35th place. Sophomore Amy Alston is the third Aztec in the top 50, carding a 9-over 81 to fall from a tie for 43rd place to an eight-way tie for 48th. Sophomore Kristina Lynn and junior Maureen Dunnagan finished the day knotted in 76th place. Both golfers shot a 13-over par on the second day of the three day tournament.
