Women's Golf Finishes 13th at Florida Tourney

WG: Aztecs finish 13th in Florida

2012-13 SEASON (As a sophomore): Was one of three SDSU players to receive an individual bid to compete in the NCAA Central Regional Championships ... Earned first-team all-Mountain West honors in her first season as an Aztec after joining the squad during the semester break ... Has maintained a 76.82 stroke average through all six events this spring, which ranks second on the team and 16th in the conference ... Has posted four top-25 performances so far this year, including two in the top six ... Recorded her highest finish of the season with a fifth-place showing at the inaugural Cal Classic (Feb. 25-26) ... Also turned in a sixth-place effort at the MW Championship (April 25-27).

2011-12 SEASON (As a freshman): Competed in three events and nine rounds during her freshman campaign at the University of Arizona ... Recorded her two lowest rounds of the year with a pair of 73s on day one of the Windy City Intercollegiate where she finished in a tie for 21st at 8-over 224 (Oct. 3-4) ... Also cracked the starting lineup at the Pac-12/SEC Challenge, posting a combined 19-over 235 (Oct. 21-23) ... Played in one tournament as an individual competitor during the spring schedule, tying for 56th at the Wildcat Invitational with a collective 241 (Feb. 5-7).

PRIOR TO COLLEGE: Was twice honored by the Future Collegians World Tour as the West Region Player of Year during a standout stint in the junior ranks ... Also garnered FCWT All-America accolades on two occasions ... Captured medalist honors at both the Golfweek Junior Orange Tree Open and the Golfweek Junior Trilogy in 2011 ... Posted additional victories at the Colorado Junior Stroke Play (2010), the AJGA Stockton Sports Commission Classic (2009) and the IJGT ASU Karsten Junior Tournament (2008) ... Qualified for the Junior PGA Championship on four occasions and was a three-time U.S. Girls' Junior Amateur participant ... Also competed as a member of the Junior America's Cup and the Colorado Junior All-Star teams.
