SAN DIEGO - Walk-on tryout meetings for women interested in participating on the 2003-2004 rowing team will be held September 10 and 11 in the Aztec Athletics Center auditorium at 6:30 p.m.

The SDSU women's crew is a nationally competitive, NCAA sanctioned collegiate sport. Rowing is one of the largest sports on campus, second only to the football team, with an average of 60 women participating each year. The sport begins training in the fall, with the bulk of competition taking place in the spring semester.

A potential student-athlete should be a full-time student at San Diego State who is willing to work hard and learn. No previous rowing experience is necessary. Some rowing scholarships are still available for 2003-04. For additional information, contact the women's crew office at (619) 594-0650.
