SDSU's Brittany McMahon Named Second-Team All-American

SAN DIEGO - Senior Brittany McMahon was selected to the 2005 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Pocock All-American team on Thursday, June 2. The Fortuna, Calif., native joins a list of 25 student-athletes who were selected to the CRCA second team.

The CRCA Pocock award recognizes the outstanding achievements by female rowers and coxswains for the NCAA spring season.

Last month, McMahon was invited to the 2005 USRowing women's pre-elite selection camp in Seattle, Wash., where she will compete for spots on the Under-23 National Team that will race at the 2005 Under-23 World Championships in Amsterdam, Netherlands in July.

McMahon was also recognized earlier by the CRCA second-team all-region, the first for an Aztec since 2002.
