SAN DIEGO -

The 12th-ranked San Diego State women's crew lightweight eight squad heads to Camden, N.J., for the 98th annual Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championship. The championship will be held on June 1-3 at Cooper River.

The lightweight eight field includes the top teams in the nation including top-ranked Princeton, second-ranked Wisconsin, third-ranked Villanova, fourth-ranked Massachusetts and sixth-ranked Harvard.

This is SDSU's first visit to nationals in just its second year as a Division I athletic program. The women's crew program concluded the year ranked 26th in the nation.
