Aztec Crew Ranked 20th in Nation

March 31, 1999

San Diego - Fresh off its victory in the Cal Cup at last Sunday's San Diego Crew Classic, the San Diego State University women's crew team was ranked 20th in the nation in the USRowing coaches' poll released today. This is the first of the bi-weekly regular season polls. The Aztecs were not ranked in the pre-season coaches' poll.

SDSU is in its first full-season as a varsity women's crew program. In addition, the Aztecs' lightweight eight boat was ranked 13th nationally.

Upcoming competitions for San Diego State include the San Diego City Championships on Otay Lakes on April 10 and the California Collegiate Rowing Championships in Sacramento on April 17.
