SAN DIEGO - Meet the Aztecs! This spring we will be taking a look at the Aztec Rowing season from the student-athlete's perspective. This week's student-athlete's perspective was written by coxswains Stephanie Norviel and Kaitlyn True.

"As a freshman coxswain, I came onto the team very excited, but not knowing what to expect racing on a collegiate level," said Norviel. "Now that spring racing is beginning, I am looking forward to a very competitive racing season. All the girls have been making significant changes for the past four weeks, which I believe will bring our boats speed up to its full potential and definitely help to win races. I am very excited to see what will happen this season."

"Since joining the SDSU women's rowing team as a novice coxswain, I have witnessed the growth of a new team and the athletes that are a part of the team," said True. "Being a novice coxswain, I am constantly learning and discovering the ins and outs of this sport As a coxswain I get the opportunity to witness the intense dedication and commitment that each rower contributes to the team and I am eager to see all of their efforts pay off in our upcoming season."
