The San Diego State women's crew team gets its 2001 campaign underway Saturday at the Parker Cup Regatta. The event will be held at Ballona Creek , in the Los Angeles area, and will be hosted by Loyola Marymount. SDSU will compete against host LMU and UC Irvine. Competition begins at 11 a.m. with the novice eight, the junior varsity eight will race at noon with the varsity eight immediately following. SDSU swept last year's Parker Cup Regatta finishing 1-2 in the varsity eight to go with top finishes in the novice eight and varsity four.The Aztecs continue their schedule next weekend traveling to the East coast for a competition with Virgina in Charlottesville, Va. on Saturday and a scrimmage with George Washington in Washington, D.C on Sunday.
