While the team has been provided some financial backing other than scholarships, the Women's Crew has a very limited equipment and travel budget and will rely mostly on fundraising in these areas. Most recently the crew worked concession booths at the San Diego Street Scenes and pooled their paychecks to raise money. Off-season, fundraisers such as this are possible, however, during the season's demanding training schedule, such fundraisers become very difficult if not impossible. It's during these times that the team rely's heavily on Alumni and private donations. Donations to the team are greatly appreciated and allow team members to focus on rowing, as well as provide them the motivation to succeed for their supporting fans!
