SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's crew team set a new record at its second-annual Million Meter Row-A-Thon Saturday at Cox Arena. The team rowed 1,000,000 meters (more than 800 miles) on an indoor rowing machine in 7 hours, 48 minutes, and 53.78 seconds. That time shaved more than 32 minutes off last year's time of 8 hours, 20 minutes and 39 seconds.

In the process the team also raised $25,000 in donations.

Aztec crew thanks everyone who came out in support of the event.

The Aztecs return to action Dec. 3 when the team travels to Long Beach for the 34th annual Long Beach Christmas Regatta. That event marks the last regatta of the team's fall schedule. The team's spring campaign gets underway on Feb. 3 at the San Diego Indoor Classic which will be held at El Carmel Point.
