SDSU Rowers Post Three Wins In Parker Cup

Aztecs take novice four, second novice eight and second varsity eight on Mission Bay.

MISSION BAY, Calif. - The Aztecs posted wins in the novice four, second novice eight and second varsity eight events on Saturday on Mission Bay.

The novice fours handily defeated two UC Irvine boats, racing to a 8:43 first-place time. SDSU won the second novice eight race with a time of 7:33, ahead of UCI (7:48).

The Aztecs took the second varsity eight race with a time of 7:28, 14 seconds ahead of second-place Loyola Marymount.

Loyola Marymount won the Parker Cup, taking the top spot in the varsity eight (7:13). SDSU placed second (7:25) in the varsity eight and UCI third (7:31).

SDSU next competes at Virginia on March 16.
