Rowers Compete At Stanford Invitational

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. - The San Diego State women's rowing team participated in the Stanford Invitational Saturday facing Washington State in the morning session and Oregon State in the afternoon in head-to-head competition. SDSU earned a second-place finish in all eight of the races it competed in. The Aztecs' best showing came against Oregon State in the varsity eight race in which SDSU's time of 7:45.4 was edged by the Beavers clocking of 7:43.2. The event featured several of the nation's top rowing programs, including 11th-ranked California and 20th-ranked Texas. The Aztecs return to action next weekend when they compete in the WIRA Championships in Sacramento.
