Aztec Rowers Have Good Showing at S.D. Crew Classic

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's rowing team came away from the final day of competition at the 28th Annual San Diego Crew Classic with a pair of third-place finishes. The two day regatta was held at Crown Point Shores Park in Mission Bay.

The Aztecs clocked in at 7:21.41 good for third in the petite final of the Jessop-Whittier Cup (varsity eight) race. SDSU finished behind Washington State (7:10.22) and Stanford (7:13.34).

State also crossed the finish line third (7:23.52) in the petite final of the novice eight. Oregon State won the race followed by UC Irvine.

SDSU takes next week off from competition and next competes at the Stanford Invitational April 21-22 in Redwood Shores, Calif.
