| SDSU Receives NCAA Grant For The Second Year In A Row
Ticket To Thrive is a program that will use individuals from San Diego's K-8 students and teachers, influential business professionals, community leaders and the SDSU campus community to mobilize others to attend SDSU women's basketball games. The stakeholders will be able to interact with the women's basketball staff, student-athletes, and administrators, providing them unique exposure to college athletics. As members of the sectors, the Team Members have daily opportunities to encourage attendance and engage in conversations about the Aztecs. Unlike traditional marketing where the athletic department provides messages from afar, the Ticket to Thrive marketing plan enables peers to disseminate the message, connect one-on-one and solicit action.
As Ticket To Thrive evolves, the four sectors will begin to interact, providing mentoring and networking opportunities. The nexus will always remain attendance at SDSU women's basketball games. This ambitious outreach program is aimed at increasing average attendance at SDSU games to 60% of seating capacity within five years. Meeting that goal will be just one barometer of achievement, believing that "success is contagious."
All those involved with Ticket To Thrive will take pride in actively supporting the excellence of high-quality education, service to community, unwavering integrity, and school price actions consistent with the SDSU Athletic Department Mission Statement.
