The San Diego State women's basketball team will play host to the first-ever 2009 JHG Jam, featuring two schools from both the Mountain West and Pac-10 Conferences, this Saturday for a pair of nationally-televised games at Viejas Arena. The Aztecs will face Arizona in the first game of the night, beginning at 6:30 p.m. PT, while fellow MWC member Utah takes on UCLA at approximately 8:30 p.m. Each contest will be televised live on The Mtn. with Tracy Warren (play-by-play) and Andrea Lloyd making the call courtside.

Both SDSU and Arizona enter their first meeting since 1998 with identical 2-0 records. The Aztecs opened the year with a 64-42 victory at UC Irvine last week and followed that up with a dominating 79-52 win against cross-town rival University of San Diego at Viejas Arena on Tuesday evening. The Wildcats, meanwhile, won both their outings a week ago, defeating Iona College (75-70) in overtime and Miami of Ohio (91-57) to claim the Iona tournament title.

San Diego State's final home game until next month is also its first meeting with a Pac-10 squad during the regular season since playing Washington State at home on Nov. 11, 2004. The Aztecs, who are 48-70 all-time against current Pac-10 schools, fell to Stanford in the NCAA second round to end their 2009-10 campaign.

Saturday's first game will feature a live audio feed with Steve Quis, while both Saturday's contest will have live stats on goaztecs.com.
