SDSU Suffers 6-1 Setback At No. 37 Boise State

SAN DIEGO - The No. 48 San Diego State men's tennis team notched a win in doubles and singles play, but ultimately dropped a 6-1 decision to No. 37 Boise State on Thursday afternoon at Appleton Tennis Center. With the loss, SDSU fell to 11-6 and 1-1 in Mountain West play, while the Broncos improved to 17-6 and 1-0 in the MW. In doubles play, the Aztecs tallied a win at number three as Rickey Baylon and Spencer Simon defeated Andrew Bettles and Filipp Pogostkin, 8-7, after winning the tiebreaker by the score of 7-5. SDSU also notched a win at number six singles as Baylon earned a three-set win, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4, against Garrett Patton. San Diego State will now head back home to face New Mexico next Friday.
