A late arrival at SDSU... Saw limited action in the No. 2 and 3 positions...Played in conference championships in the No. 3 spot, losing both matches... Turned things around at regionals, defeating Washington's Ari Strasberg in straight sets, then posting the match-clinching victory against Pepperdine, coming back from a set down to defeat Sebastien Graeff... Entered the NCAA Championships with a 5-6 record... Had a three-set win over New Mexico's Takeshi Itoh during the regular season... In doubles, paired with Alex Waske to go undefeated in the No. 1 position, 4-0, but teamed with Oliver Maiberger during the NCAA Tournament in the No. 2 slot... Pest and Maiberger were 5-2 on the year.
