The San Diego State men's soccer team is ranked in three more polls, including 18th by Soccer America. The Aztecs (7-1-2, 2-0 Pac-12), who are unbeaten over their last seven matches, are also ranked 20th by NSCAA/Continental Tire and 21st by Soccer Times.
Today's rankings come one day after being rated 24th in the latest College Soccer News poll and 28th by Top Drawer Soccer. It is the third season that SDSU has been ranked in all five national polls at the same time since it joined the Pac-12 in 2005. The other times were 2005 and 2010.
San Diego State is 18th in the Soccer America poll, ahead of many notable teams, including Boston College (No. 20), Virginia (No. 23) and Old Dominion (No. 25). UC Santa Barbara (No. 15), Charlotte (No. 16) and Santa Clara (No. 17) are just ahead of the Aztecs.
In the NSCAA/Continental Tire poll, SDSU is ranked 20th with 108 points. San Diego State trails UCSB (122 points), but is ahead of Old Dominion (87), William & Mary (73), Xavier (72), Santa Clara (65) and Cal State Bakersfield (59).
The Aztecs are 21st in the Soccer Times national poll with 54 points, nine behind ODU (63) for 20th. Penn State is 22nd with 49 points, while Northern Illinois (46), Iona (35) and West Virginia (26) round out the top 25.
SDSU looks to continue its solid start to Pac-12 play when it heads to the Pacific Northwest for games at Oregon State (7 p.m. PT Friday) and Washington (2:30 p.m. PT Sunday).
