Aztec Men's Soccer to Face Cal State Northridge in Friendly
Aug. 26, 2010
SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's soccer team will travel up the coast for their only preseason friendly when they face Cal State Northridge on Friday, Aug. 27. The teams will take the pitch at 7 p.m. PT. The Aztecs must replace seven departed seniors, including three MLS draft picks, in head coach Lev Kirshner's 11th season. SDSU, however, returns 11 letterwinners from a season ago, including top goal scorer Raymundo Reza and senior goalkeeper Brad Byrns. The Aztecs also welcome in the nation's No. 29 recruiting class, according to College Soccer News. SDSU was tabbed for a fourth place tie in the 2010 Pac-10 preseason poll released last week. Since joining the conference in the 2005, the Aztecs have completed the season better than their projected finish each year. GameTracker coverage and a radio broadcast for the friendly, courtesy of Cal State Northridge, will be available at GoAztecs.com. |
