
June 19, 2012 SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's soccer team will have two of its games aired live on national television in 2012, the Pac-12 Conference announced Tuesday morning. Both fixtures will be carried by the Pac-12 Networks. The Aztecs will make their 2012 television debut on Sunday, Oct. 28, when they face Oregon State in Corvallis, Ore. First tap is slated for 2 p.m. PT. Twelve days later on Friday, Nov. 9, SDSU will clash with UCLA in the Pac-12 regular-season finale in Los Angeles. That game will be played in front of a nationally televised audience beginning at 2 p.m. PT. The Pac-12 Networks launch Aug. 15 and will consist of one national and six regional networks devoted solely to the Pac-12. In addition to the hundreds of live televised Pac-12 sporting events, Pac-12 Networks subscribers will have access to their carrier's TV Everywhere platform, providing access to all Pac-12 Networks programming on any device through their broadband service. SDSU will begin its quest for a national championship on Aug. 18, when it plays host to New Mexico in a friendly starting at 1 p.m. PT. The Aztecs' regular season gets underway in Indianapolis, Ind., when they participate in The adidas/IU Credit Union Classic where they will face Notre Dame (Aug. 31) and Indiana (Sept. 2). San Diego State's home opener is slated for Sept. 7, when it plays host to the Courtyard Marriott San Diego Central Soccer Tournament at SDSU Sports Deck at Montezuma Road. The Aztecs will welcome Houston Baptist (Sept. 7) and Ohio State (Sept. 9) to campus in a festivity-filled weekend where the program will play its first game at SDSU Sports Deck under the lights (Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. PT) and honor the 1987 team that advanced to the NCAA title game. |
