The Aztecs are hoping for breakthrough performances at next weeks Pacific Invitational in Stockton, Monday and Tuesday, October 2-3. The event will take place on The Reserve (7,000 yards) course at Spanos Park. The tournament is a 54-hole, two-day event.

The Competitors
Along with San Diego State and Pacific, other headliners in the field include the University of Hawai'i, California, Nevada, Fresno State and Idaho. In all, 18 teams will compete in the two-day event.

Aztec Contenders
John Lieber, Brian Miller and John Lepak are three of the five who will be competing in next week's event. The remaining two spots will be determined in qualifying rounds that will be held Monday through Wednesday.

Getting Results
Next weeks results will be available on our website, www.goaztecs.com. The first round's results will be available early evening on Monday and the second round's results will be posted by Tuesday afternoon.

Their Last Time Out
The men's golf team opened its fall season with a seventh place finish at the Tucker Invitational hosted by the University of New Mexico in Albuqerque, September 15-16. The Aztecs shot 878 (+14) in the three-round event. The team was led by John Lieber who finished eighth at one under par.
