At Santiago Canyon CC: Led Santiago Canyon College to a second-place finish in the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) in 2005 with a 14-5 record... Was one of three SCC players to earn all-league honors... Set the school record for low individual score after he fired a 65 at Los Serranos Golf and Country Club North in Chino Hills, Calif.... Also established an SCC record for most birdies in a round with eight at the same golf course... Finished 2005 with the fourth-best scoring average (72.42) in the Orange Empire... Led the squad in four categories, including score average (73.1), green average (12.6), birdie average (3.6), eagle average (0.1) and the last six average (0.2)... He also finished second on the team in sand save percentage (41 percent)... At the OEC finals held at Los Serranos, he led SCC with a two-round score of 142... At the conclusion of the season, he was voted as the team's most valuable player. High School: Earned four varsity letters at Foothill High.... Was the Knights' top golfer all four seasons... Named The Orange County Register's athlete of the week on two occasions... Claimed two consecutive junior tournament titles in 2002... His first came in a Junior Amateur Golf Scholars (JAGS) tournament at Green River G.C. in Corona, Calif., where he shot a 36-hole score of 147, to finish ahead of 24 other competitors... Was victorious for a second time at Long Beach Recreation Park in another JAGS event after he shot a two-round score of 140... At SDSU's home course, Barona Creek Golf Club, he shot a 71 and a 74 to finish fourth out of 30 competitors at an International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) event in 2004... Other notable performances include a third-place effort at a Junior Tour event at Temecula Creek Inn in 2003 and a sixth-place finish performance on the Junior Tour in Indio, Calif.... In his first junior competition in 2001, he placed sixth out of 50 at the IJGT Napa Valley Junior Open... Compiled a 4.0 GPA his sophomore year.
