National collegiate individual champion in 1975 ... Was the national runner-up in 1976 and 1977 ... Was also second in the 1976 Amateur Women's Open ... Following her playing career at San Diego State, she went on to a 10-year playing career on the Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour.

As a two-year starter he helped guide the Aztecs to a 21-1 record during his stay, anchoring an offensive line that helped SDSU average 29.2 points and 355.7 yards of offense in 10 games in 1967 ... After completing his eligibility, he was a fifth round draft pick of the Green Bay Packers.
