SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State football team looks to become bowl eligible for a third consecutive season when it plays host to UNLV on Saturday. The Mountain West showdown is scheduled for a 5 p.m. PT kickoff at Qualcomm Stadium.
The Aztecs (5-3 overall, 3-1 MW) are looking to claim their sixth victory of the season on the earliest date in 19 years when they face the Rebels. The UT Daily Deal offers fans the opportunity to purchase regularly priced $16 tickets for the special price of $8, which is available up until game day here.
Main parking gates will open on Saturday at 1 p.m., and fans are encouraged to welcome the San Diego State football squad to "The Q" at the Warrior Walk, scheduled for 3 p.m., between parking lots E & F. After greeting the team at the Warrior Walk, fans and alumni can visit the Aztec Village in parking lot F-1. The Aztec Village features food and beverages for purchase, as well as live entertainment, performances by the Marching Aztecs, SDSU dance team and cheer squad.
Following the National Anthem, a helicopter from the U.S. Coast Guard San Diego will fly over Qualcomm Stadium. Then prior to team introductions, this week's Honor Warrior is Kevin O'Connell, who will make his appearance at midfield. O'Connell played quarterback for the Aztecs from 2004-07 and then was drafted by the New England Patriots in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft.
Tickets to Saturday's game, which start at just $10, are available through GoAztecs.com, over the phone by calling (619) 283-7378, or by visiting the Aztec Ticket Office at Qualcomm Stadium's Window E between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Aztec Ticket Office will open at 1 p.m., on Saturday for the general public and San Diego State students.
