Aztec Football Kicks Off 86th Season Saturday Versus Cal Poly At Qualcomm

Game No. 1 - San Diego State Football Weekly Notes vs. Cal Poly in PDF Format Get Acrobat Reader

San Diego State (4-8 overall; 3-5/6th in the Mountain West Conference in 2007), opens its 86th season of football, 40th at the Division I level and third under Chuck Long on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Qualcomm Stadium against Great West Conference member and Football Championship Subdivision member, 14th-ranked Cal Poly (7-4; 2-2 Great West in 2007).

Game time is set for 6:30 p.m. PT and tickets are available through the SDSU Ticket Office (619-283-7378) or online at GoAztecs.com. The first 20,000 fans through the gates on game night will receive a Marshall Faulk Replica Jersey, courtesy of the Associated Students. The game is also part of Football Alumni Weekend and will feature a Welcome Week Student Tailgate.
