Team Notes
• SDSU had won eight consecutive September home games prior to tonight, which was the second-longest September home winning streak in the Division I era. The team's last loss (before tonight) in a September home game was a 52-23 setback to 24th-ranked Cincinnati on Sept. 29, 2007.
• Through 17 games, Rocky Long is now 10-7 as San Diego State's head coach. That is still the best 17-game start to an Aztec coaching career since Claude Gilbert opened his tenure with a 14-2-1 record in the 1973 and 1974 seasons.
• San Diego State had a fumble on a punt return in the first quarter. It was the team's first turnover since the third quarter of the opening game at Washington. SDSU went 160 minutes, 10 seconds (160:10) of game time without a turnover until the Tim Vizzi fumble.
• San Diego State later fumbled on offense. The Aztecs had gone 164 offensive plays without a turnover prior to the Walter Kazee fumble.
• SDSU allowed a kickoff return for a touchdown. It was the first allowed by San Diego State since Oct. 28, 2000 vs. Colorado State.
• The Aztecs gained over 200 yards rushing for the eighth time in 12 games.

Trends
• SDSU has now scored a touchdown in 68 consecutive games.
• San Diego State dropped to 7-1 in the Rocky Long era when leading after three quarters.

Series Notes
• San Diego State drops to 15-19-2 all-time against San Jose State, including a 9-6-1 mark at home.
• The Aztecs have lost three straight against the Spartans after winning the previous seven meetings.

Player Notes
* Adam Muema, So., RB (25 att., 202 yds., 1 TD)
• Had a career-high 202 yards on a career-high 25 carries (8.1 per rush).
• Became the 18th Aztec in program history to rush for 200 or more yards. It was the 36th time it's happened in school history.
• Broke 100 yards rushing for the second time this season, second straight game and third time of his career.
• Scored his fourth rushing touchdown of the season, seventh of his career and eighth overall (one receiving).
• He now has a rushing touchdown in five consecutive games.
• Had an 83-yard touchdown run, which was the 10th-longest rush in program history. It was also the eighth-longest carry ever against San Jose State.

* Walter Kazee, Sr., RB (17 att., 90 yds., 1 TD)
• Scored a rushing touchdown, giving him a career-high five for the season and 14 for his career. He has nine rushing scores over his last six games.
• Passed Kevin O'Connell (2004-07) into 17th-place on the school's all-time rushing list. He now has 1,362 career rushing yards.

* Ryan Katz, Sr., QB (17-for-27, 213 yds., 2 TDs, 0 INT)
• Threw a two touchdown passes. He now has nine career games with multiple touchdown passes (two this season).
• Completed a pass to eight different receivers, his most this season. His previous best was seven vs. Army.

* Gavin Escobar, Jr., TE (5 rec., 46 yards, 1 TD)
• Had a 2-yard touchdown catch, giving him two for the season and 13 for his career.
• Had his 10th straight game with two or more receptions.

* Colin Lockett, Jr., WR (3 rec., 73 yards, 1 TD)
• Caught a 40-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter, his second of the season and 10th of his career.
• The 73 yards were a season high.

* Nick Tenhaeff (4 tackles, 2.0 TFL, 1.0 sacks, 1 FF)
• Forced his first fumble of the season in the first quarter and second of his career.
• Picked up his first sack of the season in the first quarter and the third of his career.

* Leon McFadden (1 tackle, 1 INT, 3 PBUs)
• Had his second interception of the season and seventh of his career. He has an interception in back-to-back games.
• Had three pass breakups to move into sole possession of fifth place on the school's all-time list with 32.

* Chance Marden (2-for-2 FGs, 4-for-4 PATs)
• Made the first two field goals of his career, a 25-yarder and a 41-yarder.
• The 41-yard field goal was the longest since Abel Perez hit a 42-yarder last year vs. Army (Sept. 10).

Other Notes
• The Aztecs started the same 11 on defense for the fourth consecutive game (all games this season).
• Marcus Andrews had his first fumble recovery of the season and second of his career.
• Eric Pinkins (6) and Josh Wade (5) each set career highs in tackles.
• Chad Young had a career-long 22-yard reception.
• Adam Roberts made his second career start tonight at tight end (also vs. Army).
