North Dakota-San Diego State Postgame Notes
Team Notes
• San Diego State had a pair of 100-yard rushers for the first time since 1998 and the 15th time in program history. The Aztecs are 14-1 all-time when having multiple 100-yard rushers.
• SDSU and North Dakota combined for 90 points tonight. That was tied for the eighth-most total points in a San Diego State game in program history and matched the most since Nov. 26, 1994 when the Aztecs and Fresno State combined for 91 points (Fresno State won, 49-42).
• San Diego State defeated a team with a six-game winning streak for the first time since at least 2002. The Aztecs were 0-8 against teams (since 2002) with a six-game winning streak heading into today (0-2 under
Tom Craft, 0-3 under
Chuck Long and 0-2 under
Brady Hoke).
• SDSU has now won eight straight September home games, which is the second-longest September home winning streak in the Division I era. The team's last loss in a September home game was a 52-23 setback to 24th-ranked Cincinnati on Sept. 29, 2007. The school record is 23 consecutive home wins during September, spanning the 1962-1979 seasons (12 consecutive in the Division 1 ERA (1969-79)).
• San Diego State has posted a winning record after three games for the third consecutive season (2-1 in 2010, 3-0 in 2011, 2-1 in 2012). Prior to 2010, the Aztecs did not have a winning record after three contests for the five seasons from 2005 through 2009.

Leon McFadden's interception return for a touchdown in the first quarter was San Diego State's first defensive touchdown since Nov. 13, 2010 at No. 3 TCU.
• McFadden's interception return for a touchdown was the team's first since Nov. 28, 2009, when
Luke Laologi returned one at UNLV.
• North Dakota's passing touchdown in the first quarter was the first allowed by the Aztecs since the first quarter of the Washington game. There was 114 minutes, 25 seconds (114:25) of game time in between the two touchdown passes.
Weather Notes
• Tonight's game time temperature of 97 degrees is tied for the second-warmest contest (also Sept. 8, 2001 at Arizona State) San Diego State has played in the Division I era (since 1969). The only warmer game was 99 degrees at Arizona on Sept. 16, 2000.
• It is the warmest home game for the Aztecs in the Division I era (previous warmest was 93 degrees against UCLA on Sept. 8, 1984.)
Trends
• SDSU has scored 42 or more points in consecutive games for the first time since 1996.
• The Aztecs' 21 points were their most in the first quarter since scoring 24 in a 38-21 win over Idaho State on Sept. 4, 2004.
• SDSU improved to 8-0 in the Rocky Long ear when leading after three quarters.
• SDSU has now scored a touchdown in 67 consecutive games.

He now has 1,272 for his career and passed Mario Mendez (1,168 from 1961-63), Michael Franklin (1,216 from 2002-05), Bill Kramer (1,225 from 1973-74), Monty Reed (1,231 from 1974-75), Jim Allison (1,233 from 1963-64), Lloyd Edwards (1,251 from 1967-78) and Mike Waters (1,266 from 1983-84) tonight.
• Broke 100 yards rushing for the third time of his career and first since 2009 (his freshman season).
• Scored two rushing touchdowns, giving him four for the season and 13 for his career. He has eight rushing scores over his last five games.
* Ryan Katz, Sr., QB (11-for-18, 241 yds., 3 TDs, 228.58 eff. rating)
• Finished with 241 passing yards, his most since a 393-yard game at Arizona on Oct. 9, 2010 (while playing for Oregon State).
• Finished with a 228.58 efficiency rating, which was the seventh-best mark in a game in program history.
• Threw a career-high three touchdown passes.
• Each of his five touchdown passes this season have gone to different receivers.

• Had his first 100-yard receiving game of the season and third of his career.
• Caught a 20-yard touchdown pass, his first of the season and 12th of his career.
* Colin Lockett, Jr., WR (1 rec., 37 yards, 1 TD)
• Caught a 37-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter, his first of the season and ninth of his career.
* Brice Butler, Sr., WR (3 rec., 66 yds., 1 TD)
• Caught a 44-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Katz in the first quarter, his first-ever catch and touchdown as an Aztec.
• The 44-yard catch was a career long.
* Leon McFadden, Sr., DB (6 tackles, 1 INT for TD, 2 PBUs)
• Returned an interception 28 yards for a touchdown on North Dakota's first offensive play of the game. It was his first career touchdown.
• It also was his first interception of the season and sixth of his career.
• Had two pass breakups, giving him 29 for his career. That is tied with Jeff Shoate (2001-03), Marlon Andrews (1989-90) and Mike Fox (1979-82) for the fifth most in program history.
Other Notes
• Dominique Sandifer started his first game since the 2010 Poinsettia Bowl (vs. Navy, Dec. 23, 2010).
• Sam Meredith and Jordan Thomas each had their first career sack tonight.
• Adam Roberts caught his first pass of the season and second of his career.
• Tim Vizzi returned his first career punt. It was also the first punt return by an Aztec this season.
• Seamus McMorrow had a career-long 51-yard punt.
