Coaching Experience -Entering his ninth year overall at San Diego State with four seasons as the director of football operations (2000-01, 2006-07) and four campaigns as the Aztecs' quarterbacks coach. -Was SDSU's quarterbacks coach from 2002-05, helping the Aztecs average nearly 3,100 yards (259 yards per game) and 18 touchdowns per season through the air in each of his campaigns. -Was SDSU's passing game coordinator in 2005, when then sophomore quarterback Kevin O'Connell threw for 2,663 yards and 19 touchdowns. -In his first term as the Aztecs' director of football operations from 2000-01, oversaw SDSU's recruiting efforts, including the 2002 class that was ranked second in the Mountain West Conference. He was also responsible for all administrative functions of the program, including training camp, travel and summer camps. -Arrived at San Diego State after spending a year as offensive program coordinator at the University of Washington, where he also assisted with the Huskies' recruiting efforts. -Served as a student assistant coach and assistant recruiting coordinator at his alma mater, Colorado, from 1994-99. Stark was involved in coaching the running backs with both the Buffaloes and Huskies. -Has worked with five bowl teams, including two Holiday Bowls, the Fiesta Bowl, the Cotton Bowl and the Aloha Bowl. -Began his coaching career by serving as offensive coordinator at Brighton High in Colorado. He helped coach 12 first-team all-league and three first-team all-Colorado selections while with the Bulldogs.
