COACHING EXPERIENCE
- Mike Schmidt begins his first season as a graduate assistant at SDSU, working with the offensive line. A year ago, he volunteered as a student assistant, while completing his degree.

PLAYING EXPERIENCE
- Played offensive line for San Diego State from 2005-08 and was a captain in his senior campaign.

- A former walk-on on the defensive line, he changed sides of the ball and earned a scholarship in fall of 2007.

- Team captain at Madison High School in San Diego from 2004-05. Led the Warhawks to two Harbor League titles, while earning second-team all-CIF, league co-offensive player of the year and first-team all-league honors as a senior.

- Played in the 15th annual Alex Spanos All-Star Classic and was a San Diego Union-Tribune all-academic pick.

- Graduated from San Diego State in the fall of 2009, with his bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
