Tough and aggressive linebacker with a great motor ... Granted a medical redshirt year last season after playing in only three games ... Came back to earn the No. 1 spot at middle linebacker following spring drills ... Is one of six Aztecs from Oceanside High School.

2010: Played both special teams and on defense as a true freshman ... Logged minutes in three games, but ultimately redshirted after getting injured in practice following the Missouri contest ... Both of his tackles were for a loss, including a nine-yard sack in the opener with Nicholls.
