SAN DIEGO -
San Diego State, ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 poll for a 15th consecutive week, returns home for a quick second to play host to Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Wednesday night.
Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. PT and the contest will be aired live on FOX Sports San Diego. Fans can listen to the game on KOGO AM 600 and 101 KGB with Ted Leitner providing the details.
A win vs. the Golden Lions would go a long way in helping the Aztecs secure their 21st winning month in a row. As it stands right now, Memphis is tied with SDSU for the longest active streak for consecutive winning months at 20. San Diego State is 2-1 with two to play in November. The Tigers, meanwhile, are 2-0 this month with four to play before December hits.
SDSU is fresh off a 60-44 win at Missouri State on Saturday. The 16-point margin of victory was the largest by an opponent in the history of JQH Arena, which opened in 2008-09. Jamaal Franklin finished with his second double-double (22 point, 12 rebounds) in as many games and added two assists, a career-high three blocked shots and three steals. Xavier Thames (10 points, game-high 5 assists) and James Rahon (10 points), meanwhile, reached double figures in scoring for the first time this season.
Following the game, the Aztecs will have three days to prepare for a road date at USC, a team San Diego State beat at the buzzer last year, 56-54, at Viejas Arena.
